The End of Something in our Life is not the Completion of our Destiny
by Ron Meyers
The end of something in our life is not the completion of our destiny. Everyone reading this probably knows of someone that is unemployed. Many of the unemployed have been devastated, because they thought they had job security. This is a time for the unemployed believer to have total trust and faith in the sovereignty of God. God is in total control and will lead us to the promised land of our next phase in life. During this transition it is vitally important that we do not turn angry, we do not let a root of bitterness set in. This may be the biggest test of our life. Insecurities and worries will surface continually and that is why we have to trust in God and believe that new opportunity will come our way. This is a time we must continue to polish our skills and keep our attitude focused on the goodness of God. The alternative is to whine and complain and get in the why me pity party parade. I would venture to say that if most people would look over their life they could recall some instances where things looked terrible but time brought new opportunities. Things had a way of working our. I am speaking from experience and each and everyday I have to practice the same words I write. I may not know my future but God does and if I can trust Him for eternal life, I can certainly trust him with my future. This is a great time for the unemployed to give God a try. The end of something in our life is not the completion of our destiny.
Sailing in the Sea of Uncertainty
by Ron Meyers
Two men set out to sail in the sea of uncertainty. There destination was destiny. One was a well-educated man with charts, equipment, and a confidence of being in control. The other man knew why the sea was called uncertainty, nothing was certain and he had no control of the unexpected. He brought faith and asked his friend Jesus to take the wheel. The storms of life came upon them and one was shipwrecked and never reached destiny. The other weathered the storms and reached destiny. Do you feel like your shipwrecked? It might be time to ask Jesus to take the wheel.
